Acne is caused by oil production (sebum), bacteria (propionibacterium), and cellular debris that block hair follicles and create a breeding ground for acne infections.

The Aesthetic Spa program reduces the production of sebum and removes cellular debris to keep your follicles open. The products used also kill the bacteria with powerful (but natural and gentle) antibacterial agents. Also, inflammation and infections involved with acne cause chemical imbalances within the skin. For example, zinc deficiencies open the door to increased sebum production, impede the skin’s self-defense mechanisms and slow the healing and repair process leading to chronic acne and scarring. Until the deficiency is corrected, the acne condition remains chronic.
